WASHINGTON (AP / The Huffington Post) - Sarah Palin says she does not spoil the story of Paul Revere.
The potential 2012 presidential candidate in Boston on Thursday as part of his tour bus when asked about the Revolutionary War hero.
Revere said Palin "warned the British that they were not going to be takin 'away from arms."
Palin, a paid Fox News contributor, told "Fox News Sunday" that she was right. She says there were British soldiers in the area for years before legendary Revere ride, and he was alert them and their fellow settlers.
"Part of their trip was to warn the British that were already there 'hey, we will not take American weapons, they will not beat our own well-armed militia particular people have."
She blamed her previous response in the media, saying it was a "gotcha question."
The website of Paul Revere House said that the April 18, 1775, Dr. Joseph Warren Revere riding instructions Lexington, Massachusetts, to warn Samuel Adams and John Hancock that British troops were marching to arrest them.
