Solution to Allowed memory size exhausted Fatal Error (upgrade). During your wordpress version or plugin upgradation you may see fatal error for allowed memory size.
Why this error occurs:
WordPress sets its memory limits in the wordpress configuration or settings file as shown in below screenshot, and if you exceed this limit then wordpress fatal error will be shown. The error will not harm your wordpress blog.
Solution to this error:
- Go to your web hosting account control panel.
- Open file manager and then go to Public html.
- You will see a wp-settings.php file in it.
- Right click on wp-settings.php and click edit, the file will be opened in a notepad.
- Now search (Ctrl + F) for 32M in this file as shown in the above screenshot.
- Change it from 32M to 64M.
- Save the file and and that’s all, now your WordPress upgradation should work fine
